In the past, he has served as Executive Director of the Christian Legal Society; founding Provost and Dean of Patrick Henry College; Associate Dean of the Geneva College law school effort; Director of the Justice Fellowship Policy Institute; and an attorney with what is now the worldwide law firm DLA Piper. He has been married since 1983 and is the homeschooling father of eight children, three of them adopted.
